Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, Evil, in all its forms, has been infesting our daily living. Human preference on the basis of the color of the skin is one of those evils. In Acts 17:26-27, the Scripture says “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, “so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; “for in Him we live and move and have our being,…” Whatever the color of your skin, every human came from one man Adam and Adam came from God. God created mankind in His image (See Genesis 1:27)
With the fall and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden came a blurred image of God and His true dream of and for humans. Satan continues to manipulate humanity by filling them constantly with his nature of violence, rebellion and hate. What is known as racism is a product of such seed.
Racism is the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races resulting in discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of the supposed lesser or inferior race. (I must say here that racism is not saying that someone is from this race or the other or from this country or the other. Those are just facts, not racism.)
This unfair treatment of people who belong to a different race must be fought.
The challenging part of this issue is the fact that it even exists in circles that should have known better- the Church. This ought not to be so. This is an evil that is staring the Church in its face and challenging the very tenets of its faith in the God of the Bible.
